Privacy Policy and User Agreement

This Privacy Policy and User Agreement explains how Mansour Khaleghi ("we", "us", or "our") as the App Owner collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Android application Dango Dong (the "Application").

By creating an account or using the Application, you agree to the collection, use, and cloud storage of information as described in this policy.

1. Account Registration and Authentication

Users may register using an email address and a confirmation link or using your Google account.

• Account Restrictions: The email address and the public username selected during registration cannot be changed.

• Account and Data Deletion: Users may delete their account at any time directly through the in-app settings. Upon account deletion, all associated personal data stored in our cloud databases (including names, phone numbers, IBANs, and profile photos) is permanently removed from our active servers within 30 days, subject to any overarching legal obligations.

• Password Security: User passwords are securely managed by Supabase and are never accessible to us.

• Web-Based Account and Data Deletion Request: If you have uninstalled the Dango Dong application or cannot access your account via the app, you can request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated cloud data by emailing the App Owner directly at mansourdroid@gmail.com. Please include the registered email address used for the account. Upon receipt of your email, your account and all associated personal records will be permanently removed from our active Supabase databases within 30 days.

Email addresses are used only for authentication, security, and account-related communication. Emails are private by default and are not visible to other users unless explicitly made visible by the user.

2. Personal Data Provided by Users

Providing personal data is entirely optional. Users may choose to provide:

• First name

• Last name

• Profile photo

• Phone number

• IBAN

Each data field has an associated access level that allows users to control whether the information is shared with other users.

3. Visibility and Control of User Data

Users can view, modify, or remove their own personal data directly within the Application.

Users can only access their own data through the Application interface. There is no automated mechanism to provide personal data in a downloadable file or structured export format.

User data (excluding passwords) is stored securely in the cloud and is accessible only to authorized database administrators for operational and support purposes.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We utilize Supabase as our cloud database and backend infrastructure provider. Your data (excluding passwords, which are encrypted and handled natively by Supabase authentication) is securely transmitted and stored using their infrastructure in compliance with industry-standard security protocols.

5. Shared Content and User Interaction

The Application allows users to create shared periods and add expenses, payments, and comments.

All content added within a shared period is visible to users who contribute to that same period. Users are responsible for the information they choose to share.

6. User-Generated Content (Photos and Attachments)

The Application allows users to upload photos or images as attachments to expenses and payments.

• User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for any photos you upload. You represent and warrant that you own the rights to the content or have obtained all necessary permissions to share it.

• Prohibited Content: You agree not to upload any content that is illegal, offensive, defamatory, or violates the privacy or intellectual property rights of others.

• App Owner Liability: The App Owner does not pre-screen or monitor all uploaded content and assumes no liability for any content posted by users.

• Visibility: Uploaded photos and attachments are visible to all authorized contributors within a shared period. Once uploaded, these files are treated as part of the shared record for that period.

• License to Host: By uploading photos, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and display these images solely for the purpose of providing the Application’s services to you and your designated contributors.

• Right to Remove: We reserve the right to remove any content that, in our sole discretion, violates these terms or is deemed inappropriate.

7. Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect non-identifying technical information, including:

• Device model and manufacturer

• Android version and operating system details

• Application version

• IP address

• Usage data (such as interactions, feature usage, and crash logs)

8. User Rights (GDPR and CCPA)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data within the Application

• Correct or delete your personal data

• Limit the use of optional personal data by removing it or deleting your account

• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to request the complete deletion of their personal data.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Application is intended for users aged 16 years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy and User Agreement from time to time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Application constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
